Breakfast is again at the Pirate Cafe with Sicilian pastries and Italian ice. Today we have 2 cities left, our home of Vernazza and the city that is the farthest north, Monterosso where we will have dinner.
We hike a bit up the trail between the cities. Kenn is more ambitious than us, so we find a cafe way up on the bluffs out of the city on the trail. They let us sit in their beach chairs hanging off a ledge under a tree with our feet propped up on the fence that keeps us from falling off. They bring us coffee, and eventually Kenn joins us for lunch. I have no idea how they stay in business in such an obscure location, but it was perfect for us.
We head back and shop a bit and then get cleaned up for dinner. Monterosso is a beach town and it feels a bit like Laguna Beach.
